Super Six Super Middleweight Tournament: Jermain Taylor vs Arthur Abraham

The second matchup in the upcoming Showtime Super Six Super Middleweight tournament is Jermain Taylor vs Arthur Abraham. Two former middleweight champions, and I believe they were champions around the same time due to Jermain Taylor being stripped of the IBF title. This will be a tough test for Arthur Abraham who usually starts out very slow. Arthur Abraham is a well known puncher, he has had some very entertaining knockouts and is proven to be very tought. If you dont believe me look at the first fight with Edison Miranda when Miranda broke his jaw and he kept fighting. Jermain Taylor is a great fighter. Jermain Taylor holds two victories over Bernard Hopkins, and victories over Jeff Lacy, Kassim Ouma, Ike Quartey, and Cory Spinks as well as two losses to Pavlik, a loss to Carl Froch as well as a draw with Winky Wright. Compared to his opponent Jermain Taylor has built up quite a resume. Arthur Abraham has defeated mostly fighters in Europe and his most well known opponent was Edison Miranda who he beat twice. So yes Jermain Taylor has beaten the better competition, hes been an undisputed champion, beat perhaps the greatest middleweight of all time, and has fought at super middleweight for his last two matchups. This will be Abraham's debut at super middleweight despite fighting a catchweight of 166 pounds in the first matchup with Miranda. Two out of the three losses on Taylor's record were fights that he was winning but was knocked out all of a sudden when he ran out of gas. Arthur Abraham brings the same to the table in this matchup. He has more pop in his punches than Froch and Pavlik. His defense is very underrated and very unorthadox hes going to feel Taylor out the first few rounds and wait for him to fade and knock him out. Taylor is damaged from his knockout losses especially at this stage of his career. Arthur Abraham by knockout
