My Thoughts on the Super Six Tournament

Well I have been blogging about my predictions all day on this tournament and now here are my thoughts. I think that its the best thing that can happen for that division. I dont agree with it only being six fighters I thought Lucian Bute, Allan Green, Librado Andrade, and maybe Jeff Lacy should have been included but the six mentioned are among boxings elite. I wish they came up with the idea when Joe Calzaghe was ruling the division but then again he had all the belts and 2 out of the 6 werent even super middleweights 2 out of the six were still prospects and the other 2 out of the six are champions werent even well known. But 1 out of the 6 has faced Joe Calzaghe. This tournament has a lot of potential matchups that I would like to see. The match I would like to see the most is Carl Froch vs Arthur Abraham that match has two big punchers colliding against each other and is set to be an action packed matchup. Another I would like to see is Andre Ward vs Andre Dirrell two men who are quite possibly the future of the super middleweight division better yet future names in boxing. One match I particularly dont care for is Jermain Taylor vs Mikkel Kessler though it should be an intriguing matchup Arthur Abraham vs Mikkel Kessler is a match I would like to see and I would definatly like to see Andre Ward vs Jermain Taylor. Those are the matchups I want to see in this tournament my prediction on who the winner will be is yet to be determined. I predict the top 3 to be Andre Dirrell, Mikkell Kessler, and Arthur Abraham. I'm leaning toward Dirrell winning but Andre Ward could pull the upset. The one who definately wont win is Jermain Taylor. One who I think will be right above him is Carl Froch. Andre Ward has the talent to be one of the top 3 but i'm not sure. If Andre Ward fought Arthur Abraham no doubt in my mind Ward would win but I think Showtime will be careful with Abraham as they match him up. No doubt in my mind Arthur Abraham will face either Carl Froch or Mikkel Kessler next we'll see. This tournament is one of the best things in boxing and one of the things to look out for. I believe that we need more tournaments such as these to bring boxing back into the spotlight. Though my predictions are not dead my experience and intellect on boxing just leads me to believe it. So watch the Super Middleweight tournament and i'll speak again on it when its time.
