Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto

Many boxing fans are really looking forward to the superfight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. We dont know for sure if its for the welterweight championship or not but best believe this matchup will be a war. Here is my prediction. Manny Pacquiao is a fighter who likes to throw fast combos. People refer to it as an amateur move, but there is power behind these left and right hooks. He's becoming more of a complete boxer with every fight, and he's getting stronger every time he moves up. Miguel Cotto is a great body puncher, very tough on the inside, good lateral movement, as some saw in the Alfonso Gomez fight he can move on the outside and fight with his jab. The problem with Manny Pacquiao is when he fires off those combos he keeps that chin open, sometimes its even untucked. In boxing 101 one of the main rules is to keep that chin tucked, and protect it, and Cotto is really good at timing his shots, and may be able to land a shot on that chin similiar to what he did in the Joshua Clottey matchup. Pacquiao has been in only 1 very competitve matchup in the last 3 years against Juan Manuel Marquez, the rest of his fights have been very one sided. The main problem with Miguel Cotto is he doesnt clinch, even when hes in trouble. Cotto has very slow head movement towards the mid rounds, he cant fight going back, and he at times can leave his chin open as well. I see this fight being very action packed I see back and forth action, with Miguel Cotto's eye opening up because he had a recent eye injury. Cotto will definately be attacking Pacquiao to the body as he's been knocked out with a body shot very early in his career. Pacquiao and Cotto will be hitting each other with their whole arsenal. This fight is not going the distance I wanna say this will be Manny Pacquiao KO in the mid rounds. My reason for this being is that I simply think Pacquiao has the superior trainer in his corner compared to Cotto. Freddie Roach will point out that Cotto doesnt clinch, so jump right on him the same way he did to Oscar De La Hoya. Hes going to tell Pacquiao to throw feints so Cotto can comitt to them. He's going to make Cotto go backwards, and hes going to make Cotto lose his focus. Hes going to make Manny go after the cut on his left eye. Pacquiao has every advantage and everything is pointing towards him for the victory. The only shot Cotto has at winning is if he was a counter puncher the whole fight or used his strength to put Pacquiao on the ropes, but with those quick offensive spurts that he has I just dont see Cotto winning it. Pacquiao KO round 5 or 6
